Sector Overview
We believe that the transition to renewable energy should do more than just power buildings. It should empower the people and communities that inhabit them. Our Social Value Commitment for Defence Housing is a core delivery pillar designed to align seamlessly with the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
Organisations across the public and private sector are increasingly accountable for environmental, social and governance outcomes, from reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency to supporting residents, employees and the communities they operate in. Reporting expectations are tightening, and stakeholders, investors and regulators expect evidence rather than intent.
Renewable generation, low-carbon heating and energy efficiency measures are among the most direct and measurable interventions an organisation can make. They reduce operational emissions, lower running costs and improve the performance of ageing buildings and assets.
Heatforce supports organisations in delivering these measures across their estates. Operating from Wales with delivery capability across Wales and England, we combine technical expertise, operational experience and quality-assured delivery to support sustainability objectives and long-term asset performance.
Our commitment is built on the foundation of 100% local impact: from a workforce and supply chain sourced entirely within Wales to a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and landfill waste. Every measure we install runs on the same quality-assured process: audit trails, defect rectification and commissioning documented at each stage. Installed systems generate metered performance data, so organisations can evidence carbon and energy outcomes to their own stakeholders rather than relying on estimates.
Our ‘Wales First’ Core
Commitments at a Glance
We commit to a 100% local impact model, meaning your project budget remains within the Welsh economy, supporting local families and SMEs, while minimising environmental harm. Our commitment focuses on four key areas of impact:
Economic Prosperity
100% Welsh supply chain spend and 100% local workforce, ensuring the budget stays within the South Wales economy to support SMEs and local families.
Environmental Resilience
100% diversion from landfill via Atlantic Recycling and a rigorous carbon-monitoring programme tracking every car mile and kilowatt saved.
Educational Excellence
Using our City Training Academy to provide accredited training, apprenticeships, and STEM outreach, turning the site into a Living Lab.
Cultural & Social Equity
Championing the Real Living Wage and bilingualism (Cymraeg 2050) in every aspect of delivery.
