    Solar PV Technology

We are a HIES accredited installer, and you can be assured that your Solar project is fully protected. Click the link to visit HIES and learn more about their Consumer Code.

We will conduct all planning checks and obtain necessary permissions from the National Grid to install a Solar PV system at your property. Following system commissioning, MCS certificates and insurance-backed guarantees will also be provided.

    What is it?

Solar panel electricity systems capture the energy from the sun using photovoltaic cells. The term ‘photovoltaic’ (often shortened to PV) describes a process known as the ‘photovoltaic effect’ whereby a material such as silicon converts sunlight into energy. Over recent years, technologies have further developed, and the cells can generate electricity all year round without requiring direct sunlight.

    Benefits

Renewable energy source – Solar can be continuously generated all year round

Reduced bills – The more solar energy you generate, the less you’ll pay for electricity

Low maintenance – Typically, panels don’t require much maintenance; cleaning twice a year should suffice

    Performance?

There are numerous factors which affect the performance of the Solar PV system. We use state-of-the-art software to design a system which maximises efficiency and provides value for money. We will determine your needs and design a system within your budget to maximise savings and increase your property’s efficiency with verified performance estimates.

    Battery Storage

If your proposed system generates more electricity than you need, we recommend installing battery storage. Throughout the day, excess energy is stored and used during the night when the solar panels are not producing electricity. Batteries typically cost between £1,200 and £6,000, and the price heavily depends on the chemical composite, capacity and lifecycle.

    Hot Water

You can heat your water via your Solar PV system; the cost-saving benefits from this will be greater than what you would expect by exporting the generated electricity back to the grid.
